How to use these Release Notes

The release notes are organized by solution area.  The UC identifier refers to a specific Use Case within the AssetOptics software development lifecycle (SDLC).  An explanation of the Use Case and delivered functionality follow.  If there are any configuration requirements, they will be listed in the Setup Requirements following the use case explanation.  The setup requirements should be used by your system administrator to plan and execute the AssetOptics managed package upgrade.

WARNING! – This upgrade contains multiple new APEX classes.  If you are using the standard AssetOptics profiles (and mapped security profile configurations correctly during the upgrade install) or standard AssetOptics permission sets (which upgrade automatically), then no security update is required.  Otherwise, please ensure that security is provided to all APEX classes beginning with the namespace prefix of sm1a.

Inventory Management

UC-0302 Stock Item Inventory Transaction LWC

A Lightning Web Component (LWC) to create Inventory Transactions from the Stock Item record was created to replace the legacy Visualforce page.  This LWC is invoked from the “New Inventory Transaction” Action.

Setup:  Add the “New Inventory Transaction” Action to the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section of your SIR Line Item page layout.

UC-0327 External Id on Item Master & Stock Item

Custom fields labeled External Id have been added to the Item Master and the Stock Item objects.  There fields are used to support data migrations and integrations with external systems.

Setup:  No setup is required.

UC-0328 Stock Issue Request Inventory Transaction LWC

A Lightning Web Component (LWC) to issue Stock Item inventory from the Stock Issue Request (SIR) Line record was created to replace the legacy Visualforce page.  This LWC is invoked from the “Issue” Action.

Setup:  Add the “Issue” Action to the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section of your SIR Line Item page layout.

Preventive Maintenance Scheduling

UC-0326 PM Meter Release Threshold

A new field labeled “Meter Release Threshold” has been added to the PM Schedule.  This is a user defined Percent (%) field.  The “Meter Interval % Complete” value must be Greater Than or Equal to this value for the PM Schedule to be selected in the automatic Work Order generation process (scheduled batch APEX job).  For example, if a PM is scheduled for every 500 hours of operation and the Meter Release Threshold is set to 90%, then a total of 450 hours of operation must be achieved before the Work Order is generated and released.  This criterion is in addition to all other criteria including but not limited to Release Window, Auto Release, Active Status, etc.

The default value for the Meter Interval % Complete can be specified in the PM Schedule Batch Parameters custom setting labeled “Meter Percent”.

Setup:

1. Enter a default value in the Meter Percent field of the PM Schedule Batch Parameters custom setting.
2. Add the Meter Interval % Complete field to your PM Schedule page layout.
3. Update all existing PM Schedule records with the default value or another value setting as desired.
4. If you are using the standard AssetOptics profiles (and mapped security profile configurations correctly during the upgrade install) or standard AssetOptics permission sets (which upgrade automatically), then no security update is required. Otherwise, provide Edit access to this field in your applicable Profiles and Permission Sets.

A Lightning Web Component (LWC) to receive Stock Item inventory from the PO Stock Item record was created to replace the legacy Visualforce page.  This LWC is invoked from the “New Receipt” Action.

Setup:  Add the “New Receipt” Action to the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section of your Work Order page layouts.

UC-0331 Work Order Inventory Issue Transaction LWC

A Lightning Web Component (LWC) to issue Stock Item inventory from the Work Order record was created to replace the legacy Visualforce page.  This LWC is invoked from the “Issue Stock Item” Action.

Setup:  Add the “Issue Stock Item” Action to the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section of your Work Order page layouts.

UC-0330 Work Order Planned Stock Inventory Issue LWC

A Lightning Web Component (LWC) to issue Stock Item inventory from the Planned Stock record was created to replace the legacy Visualforce page.  This LWC is invoked from the “Issue” Action.

Setup:  Add the “Issue” Action to the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section of your Planned Stock page layout.
