How to use these Release Notes

The release notes are organized by solution area.  The UC identifier refers to a specific Use Case within the AssetOptics software development lifecycle (SDLC).  An explanation of the Use Case and delivered functionality follow.  If there are any configuration requirements, they will be listed in the Setup Requirements following the use case explanation.  The setup requirements should be used by your system administrator to plan and execute the AssetOptics managed package upgrade.

Visualforce Pages for Salesforce Classic

Resulting from the Salesforce Summer ’19 release, any Visualforce page used as a screen flow container wherein the flow called an invocable APEX class was causing package installations to fail.

Salesforce has a fix in a patch release scheduled for 7/24/19.  In the interim, a version 2.3 of AssetOptics for Salesforce Lightning was released containing a workaround on the following Visualforce pages.  This workaround will be reversed in a future release.  This workaround ONLY applies to Salesforce Classic deployments and not Salesforce Lightning deployments.

  1. VWF_Bin_Transfer
  2. VWF_Deep_Clone_Work_Order
  3. VWF_New_Work_Order_from_PM_Group_Detail
  4. VWF_New_Work_Order_from_PM_Schedule
  5. VWF_Recalculate_PMGS_Due_Dates
  6. VWF_Start_Stop_Task
  7. VWF_Update_Work_Tasks_from_Std_Work_Task

Setup Requirement:  If you are implementing AssetOptics for Salesforce Lightning Ver 2.3 and intend to use the Salesforce Classic UI instead of Salesforce Lightning, please contact AssetOptics support for instructions to enable the classic Visualforce pages.  If you are implementing in Salesforce Lightning, no changes are needed.
