How to use these Release Notes
The release notes are organized by solution area. The UC identifier refers to a specific Use Case within the AssetOptics software development lifecycle (SDLC). An explanation of the Use Case and delivered functionality follow. If there are any configuration requirements, they will be listed in the Setup Requirements following the use case explanation. The setup requirements should be used by your system administrator to plan and execute the AssetOptics managed package upgrade.
WARNING! – This release requires post upgrade configuration changes to manually release PM Work Orders. Please read carefully.
Inventory Management
UC-0273 Stock Item Default GL Expense Account
A new field labeled Default GL Expense Account has been added to the Stock Item object. The field is a lookup to the GL Account. If a GL Account is entered on the Stock Item, then this expense account will be used as the debit account when performing an Issue type Inventory Transaction overriding the Expense GL Account found on the Work Order.
Setup: If you are using the standard AssetOptics profiles (and mapped security profile configurations correctly during the upgrade install) or standard AssetOptics permission sets (which upgrade automatically), then no update is required. If you are using custom profiles or permission sets, you will need to grant access to the Default GL Expense Account field consistent with your access requirements.
UC-0290 Additional Validation Rules for Serialized Stock Inventory
New validation rules have been added to the Stock Item object to support serialized inventory management.
- If Serialized = Yes, then Serialization Control Point is not blank.
- If Serialized = Yes, then Asset Record Type is not blank.
- If Serialized = Yes and Serialization Control Point = At Inventory Receipt, then Sourcing Type is not equal to Transfer Order.
Please note that inter-storeroom Transfer Orders used as part of the automatic inventory replenishment process does not support Serialized At Inventory Receipt Stock Items.

UC-0288 Profile & Permission Set Updates for Bin Transfer Flow
The Bin Transfer flow invoked from the Stock Item record was replaced with a new flow, Location Transfer. If the user selects the option to create a new Inventory Location within the flow, a session-based permission set is activated providing the user with temporary create rights on the Inventory Location object. If the user does not have the permission set assigned, a message is presented stated they lack the needed permissions.
Setup: Replace existing Stock Item page layout with 2.6 Stock Item page layout. Update the page layout with any org specific custom fields if required. Assign the
Preventive Maintenance Scheduling
UC-0289 Updated the flows to manually release PM Work Orders. Added session-based permission sets.
Created a new permission set labeled “Manually Release PM Work Order”. This permission set is referenced in the New PM Work Orders flows for PM Schedule, PM Group Detail, and PM Route. This permission set must be assigned to a user to allow them to manually release a PM Work Order within the respective flows.
All of the existing Profiles and Permission Sets have been adjusted to accommodate the use of this permission set.
Setup: Any user requiring the ability to manually generate and release a Work Order from the PM Schedule, PM Group Schedule or PM Route must have this permission set assigned to their user.
