Meter Based PM Scheduling

Meter-based preventive maintenance scheduling enables you to schedule the release of a work order from a PM Schedule based on run time readings from a Meter.  This article describes the setup and use of a meter-based PM Schedule.

To create a meter-based PM Schedule:

  1. Select a Model Work Order that will serve as the pre-defined work order template.
  2. Select an Asset or Space
  3. Uncheck Schedule by Calendar
  4. Check Floating Interval
  5. Select the Meter
  6. Enter the Meter Schedule Interval
  7. Enter the meter reading upon which the first Work Order will be due in the Meter Due Value Override field.
  8. Save the record.

The Projected Meter Due Date is a calculated value derived by taking the Last Meter Reading Date and the Average Use from the Meter and then projecting when the Meter Due Value will be reached.  The Meter must have at least one (1) Meter Reading entered so that the Last Meter Reading Date is populated.

You may optionally choose to schedule preventive maintenance using the “earlier of” the meter readings or the calendar due dates.  To do this, leave the Schedule by Calendar field checked and enter the appropriate Calendar Interval and Calendar UOM.  The PM Due Date will be the earlier of the Calendar Due Date and the Projected Meter Due Date.  You may also enter a Calendar Due Date Override.
