Atlanta, GA, June 15, 2015–AssetOptics, a leader in cloud-based CMMS/EAM solutions, today announced it has completed a sweeping project with flight instruction company Flyright. For the project, AssetOptics Principal Mike Edwards worked closely with FlyRight President Matt Hapgood to perform customizations specific to the aviation industry. Asset Optics has developed a Case Study from the project, FlyRight Gains Comprehensive Asset Visibility and Tracking with AssetOptics,” which is now available on the AssetOptics website.

The project arose as a result of the FAA’s requirement of electronic recordkeeping for discrepancies that occur during flight simulator operation. FlyRight initially tracked discrepancies with a spreadsheet program, but when Hapgood mounted an effort to unite company operations through a unified solution for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), his search for a better method led him to AssetOptics.

Nearly four years later, AssetOptics continues to excel as FlyRight’s FAA electronic recordkeeping solution. In the interim, Hapgood and Edwards have worked together on numerous additional customizations, including the ability to track high-value parts individually, by serial number, throughout their lifecycles. “We are very happy. AssetOptics has done a great job of tweaking its core capability to work with our business model,” Hapgood said in an interview.

With its robust, built-in reporting options, work order automation and tracking, and labor and parts scheduling and reminders, AssetOptics is built from the ground up to help companies achieve regulatory compliance. As a native Force.com application, it provides the reliability, flexibility and scalability of one of the world’s most secure cloud platforms.

“Government regulations and related compliance requirements are creating an almost unbearable burden on many small and medium-sized businesses,” said Edwards. “It was a pleasure to help Hapgood and FlyRight develop solutions that helped the firm meet these requirements and further refine its parts management and reporting, overall. I look forward to a continued, fruitful relationship.”
